Understanding Your Body & How It Holds Onto Your Emotions.
Holding back your feelings takes a tremendous amount of energy, far more than letting them flow naturally. Yet when we experience a negative emotion, experience, thought or sensation, the first thing we want to do is make it go away.
We do this by pushing it to the “back of our minds” or by ignoring the “sensations in our body” that are trying to alert us that something needs dealing with.
Over the years it would be hard to imagine just how many feelings we have “stuffed” away inside ourselves, however when we use touch as a therapy, what we are doing is actually touching the very place in our body where we have stored our negative experiences so that a more natural flow and way of being can be restored to both our emotional and physical wellbeing.
Why Choose This Kind of Therapy?
The purpose of Sensorium Body Therapy is to explore what is holding you back from living the life you want to live so that you can gain new insights into your feelings and emotions.
And because it works with both your physical structure and emotional thinking, it is one of the most powerful therapies to help ease and relax feelings of emotional and physical pain, anxiety and tension.
Using a whole range of approaches to therapy such as mindfulness, meditation, somatic healing and counselling. It is effective as antidepressants and a therapy that is proven to reduce feelings of anxiety and depression by as much as 53%.
It also recognises that somatic healing (relaxation, breathing, massage, meditation) are some of the oldest, most powerful methods available to us for learning how to move forward with our lives and feel more at peace with ourselves and those around us.

Each session of Sensorium Body Therapy involves a unique combination of both the mindfulness talking therapy I offer and a session of the Sensorium Body Therapy I offer, with each appointment lasting for nearly 2 full hours.
And while some people may feel a little bit nervous about the bodywork aspect of the appointment. I have to say that nearly every single person who has ever experienced this unique form of bodywork therapy with me at the centre has reported that this part of the session was hugely beneficial in terms of both physical and emotional relaxation, and a real welcome break from the negative thinking, stress, tension and anxiety that so many of us experience on a day-to-day basis.
